Privacy & Data

Your day stays yours.

Cozydo is local-first: your data lives on your device and, if you choose, syncs privately through your own iCloud — there are no servers we control, no account, and no tracking. This page mirrors Settings → Privacy & Data in the app.

Data we collect

No account
Cozydo has no sign-up or login. We never collect your email or name — there's nowhere for that data to go.
App content
Tasks, habits, and projects stay on your device. Optional sync never passes through our servers.

How data is stored

On-device
All data lives on your device, protected by built-in encryption.
Optional sync
When sync is enabled, data moves through your private iCloud account, end-to-end. We never have access to it.
Encryption
Synced data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Notifications

Local-only
Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No notification content is routed through any server.
Private mode
Enable "Private notifications" in Settings to show generic reminder text ("Habit reminder" / "Task reminder") on your lock screen instead of the actual name.

Calendar & reminders (opt-in)

Off by default
Cozydo does not read or write your Calendar or Reminders unless you enable sync in Settings.
One-way sync
When enabled, tasks with due dates are mirrored into your Reminders list and/or calendar. Edits in Cozydo update those items.
Your accounts
Synced items live in your on-device Reminders and Calendar accounts — not on Cozydo servers.

Third-party services

Private sync
When enabled, syncs your data within your personal private iCloud account. No other third parties are involved.

Your rights

Access
Your data is always visible inside the app.
Delete
Delete individual entries any time, or erase everything from Settings → Erase all data.
